Plotted Creatives
double murder mystery games
Play double murder mystery games with friends, family, or on your own! At Plotted Creatives, we develop murder games that include a cold case and a fresh murder case that are connected.

Different from other murder games
1. Double murder game
Most murder mystery games have one case, one murderer. This game could have one murderer. It could have two. It could be an accident, not a homicide.
2. Connected cold case & fresh murder case
You can’t solve one case without the other. Like in real life, there is evidence uncovered in the fresh murder case that helps you solve the cold case. The cold case gives you backstory to help solve the fresh murder case.
3. Overarching story within a story
Izzy Stratler is a fictional character. As a private investigator, she helps understaffed small-town police departments solve cold cases that are connected to fresh murders. But she needs assistance while she searches for her younger sister who was taken a few years back. Izzy will have other cold and fresh murder cases. This is the start of an ongoing story.
Meet Izzy Stratler, PI

I’m Izzy Stratler, private investigator. I started at Riverside PD as a street cop. Turns out they thought I was brilliant, so I made detective quickly.
My kid sister Margie was abducted from the parking lot while I was inside a big box store. I came out holding three bags and my receipt to find the passenger-side window of my Toyota smashed in and my sister gone. Margie was 19. Our parents died when we were young, so it was just Margie and me living with our grandpa, who is no longer with us.
Margie was my responsibility and why I started my PI business. I needed flexibility to find who took her and bring her home. And since her case leads me to all corners of the country, I help small-town police departments along the way.
Ironically, my specialty is solving cold cases. Finding the intersection between a cold case and a fresh murder seems to be my sweet spot. However, my sister’s disappearance is the one cold case I can’t close.
It’s been 2 years since Margie was taken. I’m starting to lose hope.
But I need your help with two cases in Hazel Point.
One is a cold case: the tragic death of local star Tessa Bromin. The other is a new case — her sister Carol Wallace’s death 4 years later.
Are their deaths related? Are they homicides or accidents? Is there one killer or two?
This was such an engaging story. I found myself completely enthralled with the characters and both cases, working through every detail, trying to find connections. It was so much fun and really had me thinking through every possibility. – Regan
